How to Volunteer

When you volunteer at Solace Africa you make a real and lasting impact in Africa by helping us serve children around the poor communities in Uganda! There’s so much you can do, using your specific skills, interests and abilities.

For up to twenty hours per week or as few as four to six hours per week, you can volunteer in Uganda to make a difference in children’s lives around our poor communities.

Volunteer Opportunities to serve may include:

Community Outreach: Reaching out to poor communities with a vibrant Team. Carrying out field outreaches helps us assess the needs and conditions of orphans and poor children which later influences our enrollment program. It helps us best discover about a child's needs in the natural environment that they live in. Field outreaches also help us determine the level of poverty in that particular community, influencing our community response decisions.

Teaching & Skilling: Discovering and nurturing children's skills and talents is at the centre of our work. You can help us with skills training of children, depending on your profession and what you're willing to offer.

Health Sensitisation: Helping pass health knowledge and information to children is key to promoting healtheir communities. You can also help with adequate treatment of children according to your discretion.

Fundraising: Helping us lobby for sponsors, partners, donors or funds for our programs is essential to keep us moving. You can volunteer online, from the comfort of your home.
